Purpose:
This position is responsible for bidding roofing projects, including reroof, leaks, repairs, and maintenance. Duties will include daily estimating, reviewing estimates with sales team, asking for pricing from distributors for current estimates, and assisting sales with questions from managers and board members on the phone, email, onsite, and at board meetings.

What You Get To Do:
- Create proposals for roof and exterior shell repairs, roof maintenance, and reroofing projects of multiple systems, including: Asphalt Shingle; Tile (all types); BUR; Single Ply: PVC, TPO, Heat Welded and Adhesive Application; and General Framing and Wood Repair
- Occasionally conduct inspections and help train field inspectors
- Maintain knowledge of design requirements, codes and materials
- Use established labor and material markups for overhead and profit
- Utilize expertise in accordance with company standards to prepare accurate and competitive proposals. Review scopes of work, project specifications, blueprints, specifications, proposals and other documentation
- Occasionally perform reroofing inspections
- Evaluate estimating software and additional systems needed to perform estimating work at highest level
- Identify material cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement. Use established labor and material markups for overhead and profit
- Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturers, distributors and suppliers
- Ensure estimating queue is prioritized, manageable, and due dates are met across all estimator queues
- Consult with customers, vendors or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues as needed
- Attend board meetings with salespeople to assist in specific product and application process to sell jobs at the request of sales
- Interface and provide guidance to individuals within the company regarding the basis of estimates and any unique requirements for the successful completion of jobs
- Onboarding of all new estimators, reviewing the systems, processes and tasks of the Antis estimator function
- Mentor other estimators and sales staff as needed
- Maintains positive working relationships with coworkers
Education and/or Experience:
- High School or equivalent
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Language Skills:
- Must be able to speak, read and write English proficiently
- Spanish Communication skills desirable
Mathematical Skills:
- Must comprehend general arithmetical functions
Computer Skills:
- Proficiency with computers and software that include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote, other ERP/CRM software and systems
- Ability to work with modern office technology and communication tools including printers, copiers, and other related office machinery
- Experience working with SalesForce and Company Cam desirable
Physical Requirements:
- This position will spend the workday divided between sitting and standing and using office equipment and computers
- This position will perform occasional lifting of supplies and materials of up to 50 lbs.
